I have been working away in my office all day trying to be productive. I am trying to make up from last week of having two sick children and a dog that had to have surgery. Needless to say I got nothing done last week, so hopefully this week will be better.

I have a photo shoot/ project that I have been dreaming up and I need a couple of willing models.
Either a bride/groom duo (you can be engaged, newly married, or married for 10 years even) or teenage sisters with long hair. This will take place in the mountains so you will be COLD for 60-90 minutes. In return you will get 10-15 fully edited images on CD with copyright release, plus it will definitely be an adventure!

Okay so here is a HUGE peek of our vacation. It was SO perfect and surpassed my expectations. Usually I think, well we are taking a huge gamble with taking the kids, you just NEVER know they will act like or if they be nuts at any given time. We have been on many road trips, California, camping... and never really came home and said, "oh wow that vacation rocked!" Well, this one was different, I just assumed the kids were going to be crazy and that we would just have some fun family time without any relaxing.... well my kiddos suprised me like no other. They were so good, so happy, and so fun the whole time. They were even champs at our horrible flight home (it took us 3 days to get home because of bad weather, 2 hour plane flight turned into 9 hours!).
So here are the photos, this is us... don't be jealous of our chiseled abs and supermodel looks... we can't help it.
I think I'm so funny. really.

I am a little embarrassed at how many pictures I am showing, I just couldn't narrow it down, so if you get bored just click that little exit button and get yourself an ice cold drink or something.

Downtown Mazatlan was a bit shocking but it made me really appreciate what I have and made me feel guilty for what I have as well.

On the boat to Stone Island... we loved it there.

We went to the aquarium and it was so fun, there we basically no rules there, you could chase the peacocks, hang out with the parrots, kiss the sea lions... it was fun.

The next few Tate and Chloe took of us. I love when kids take control of the camera, expressions are real and funny.

These are my really good friends, they just adopted this adorable baby boy and I am so excited for them. Faith, their 2 yr old, warmed up pretty quick after we played, "Guess Why?" Chicken Thy!
Sometimes I am embarrassed about how I act with kids during photo shoots, but most of the time I think whatever gets the job done!

Houston here I come!

I had such a fabulous time on my trip with my little family, it was SO refreshing and the kids did amazing! I will tell you all about it and blog some photos this week.

Onto the news, I will be in Houston the weekend of Feb 18th and will be scheduling urban sessions all day on Friday, Feb. 19th!! I am so excited. Anthony has a helicopter class/convention to attend and I always love to travel so we are heading there for a fun filled weekend.

yep it was good. spoiling of children & such. super cold sledding and amazing crying skills were all in tact. i got to book my vacation to a sunny location so that was the best christmas present ever.

we obviously had a clothing optional christmas.
Chloe was hiliarious when she would open her presents, with such zealous and glee she would say, "Oh my, I always wanted that!!" and would hug the present tight. Tate would just say, "next".

Onto the photo... I had dreamed up this shoot about a month ago, waiting for the perfect snow.... Well it was way too windy out so Chloe was upset and she really didn't like the hat I put on her because it had an "old lady" on it. Some people may not like this pouty face look but I absolutely love it because Chloe makes this face 90% of her life. I love this age, I really don't want her to grow up. She says she will grow smaller for me:)

I promise..! These have been on the back burner with all the holiday chaos. I SO need a break! I bet all you photographers out there can agree!

This box holds 100-5x7 photos. I will use it for all the loose prints I print out during the year so they don't end up in all my junk drawers throughout the house or dangling down the fridge with fingerprints all over them! lol.

I am planning a getaway for our family of 4 to go on a 7 night cruise in January (it's the only glimmer of hope keeping me going right now!!!). I have never been on a cruise. Any advice with children? We want to go to the carribean... so excited! I have been searching online for hours but I would love some advice from people have recently been on cruises! I am feeling the heat of a million things to do but I am making it a point this year to enjoy the holidays! I had a very happy thanksgiving. I love my family so so much. I had 2 thanksgivings and it was so fun to just hang out, eat, dance like crazy, and watch Ghost Town (the most hilarious movie). Back to work already? yes. I have no time to waste, Christmas is fast approaching! I didn't even go shopping today, since shopping is my favorite pastime, I decided to stay away from the lines and just hang out at home, I think I made a good choice.

Anyways, onto the photos...
I love these return clients, 2 families in one, back to back sessions. It was so fun to have them all there. They are so laid back and I love that.

I got to photograph this little guy and his family last year so I was so excited to see how big he has gotten. He is such a charmer. We just threw blocks at eachother the entire shoot and it worked like a charm, he was SO SO good for his age. I guess I always expect 18months-2 years old to be so hard and he was just good.

Mom dressed him a cute school boy outfit and then at the end put him in his "uniform" (tight little jammies).

These boys seriously kill me with their good looks and sweet nature. It is rare to get 3 boys that just do what you say, usually boys are running around and wanting to wrestle at photoshoots. I love photographing them! We got some great shots of the family but those are a surprise!

UMMMMM and did you all catch the MLS cup game? Oh My goodness! It was so stressful, but we WON!!! So fun to be there. So many great REAL fans at the stadium, it really made me wanna cry a little. seriously. no really, I am not joking. It was inspiring to see REAL start out from nothing and now have won the cup. I love soccer so much but now that I am 30 and lazy I much rather watch it than play it. That Kyle Beckerman is pretty hot too, right? Anthony lets me have my REAL crush and makes fun of me all the time.

Dying Dying dying.. over these. These girls came dressed amazingly and gave me full creative range. They were so cute and I just wanted to photograph them ALL day. Too bad they don't live in Utah, I would be calling them daily bugging them to come and model for me.

Halloween was a blast! My kids had SO much fun. Tate would ask at every house, "Mom, are we going to another house?", it was cute at first but after 50 times not so much. Chloe got lazy pretty quick and we had to push her in a stroller, wish I video tape of that. What 3 year old isn't motivated enough for candy? um, Chloe.

Oh man, I am working from morning until late evening every day. Needless to say I am exhausted! Chloe asked me this morning, "why do you do that all day?" Guilt. I just know that I work extrememly hard for 2 months and then it's over! Okay, so onto the photos, ummm... adorable families right? I upload this pdf to my site, that way I can email a link to the pdf.
Let's face it, most people are visual and this takes all the guessing out of ordering from online galleries.

I have taken photos of all my special products and placed them in the templates along with descriptions and pricing. The photos will remain in the templates just in case you don't have examples yet of your new products.

A lot of my clients like to order in the comfort of their own home but feel overwhelmed by special products and what they look like. Once a client can see the details of a gallery wrap canvas or a book, they are hooked! We as photographers need to educate our clients with what we have to offer and this is an avenue that is easiest for both client and photographer, win win!

So fun with these two in Park City. They borrowed their grandparents sweet vintage car and we took full advantage of it! Grandparents came along with lawn chairs and watch, they were so great! and let's not forget mom, she was my second hand holding my flash the entire time, thank you! It has been a really long week, but this session was a great note to end on.

Loving these crewcut outfits. I could spend a lot of money on that site and I hate that they send me emails like everyday and remind me how much I NEED their stuff.

On another note, California was lots of fun! I had 3 great sessions while I was there, so fun. I do have bad luck though, got in a fender bender in the rental car and a parking ticket. ha. Just trying to make you feel better about your day:)

I love how Chloe doesn't give me a huge smile, she just acts exactly how she feels (which is usually pouty).
On a crappy note, I just shattered my iphone again, 2 in one week. yep, I suck at keeping things nice and new, maybe that is where my kids get it from.

In honor of Halloween, creepy... but I like it.

you know when you have one of those days where you have no idea what you are doing in life? Today was one of those. I totally have been thinking way too much about life lately and it is so crazy how much I am analyzing every little thing that goes on in my life. Bottom line- I have so much to be happy about in life! Anyways, so taking pictures of my little ones always makes me happy beyond anything else. I get to have one on one time with them and I get to have a little creative fun.

I love the feeling of this photo. so different from what I normally do, it's a nice change. Chloe had to have her dog in the photo, which is named "White" by the way.

This family is oozing with style! Their kids are so stinkin' adorable and it was so fun to photograph them in their home. I really love doing this! Even though I stress hard about how the light will be, in the end it's a more natural environment for kids.

I want this couch. We took a few in the living room...

Friday Night at the fair

So, we went to the fair. It was crazy. My kids are so nuts, okay they are 3, maybe I should give them a break:) I took some family photos for my sister Shelley while we were there as well for about 10 min, I love all the colors and the light was so perfect. Anthony says I have to turn every outing into a photo op. what? no, not me.

Luke is the booty shakin' dancing machine.

We are happy for a few moments before the crazy spinning begins and me feeling like ralphing comes about.

This photo is poorly taken, BUT look how cute Chloe's hand are up in the air. So free and careless.

Cameron & Camille... It's official

Now it's time to make some babies. just kidding. NO pressure. ha.
My sis in law Camille married a very cool, sweet, handsome man this weekend. It was a beautiful day! Even though she got married at noon I still love her (I tried to force her to get married in the evening cause you know it's all about the pictures right?)! The venue was perfect for them and everything was so beautiful.
I was so happy that Chloe was the little flower girl and Tate was the ring bearer. More pics of that soon. Just a few for now!
Anthony was unable to make the wedding because he was in the hospital with pneumonia, it's been a rough week to say the least but we made it through! He will be home tomorrow doing dishes and chasing the kids, right honey? just kidding. It really did make me realize how much he does for our family and how much we love him.

Jess took this one! She took the ceremony shots because I was a bridesmaid. Thanks Jess, I owe you a kiss.

So smart, a bouncy house! My kids were in heaven. It's the best babysitter around.

30 minute quick sessions of your kiddos

What is included?
The session of course. Also, you will receive 15-20 fully edited photos on CD with copyright release & 25- 5x7 christmas cards! This is a huge savings.

Price?
$495 plus tax for up to 2 children. $25 more for each additional child. If you want a quick family session it will last 45 minutes and will cost $545 plus tax.

This is the FIRST time ever that Tate has let me take pictures of him! It really is the best gift he could give me, seriously, I felt like I won the lottery. Chloe has always been pretty good at allowing me to dress her and pose her but Tate on the other hand WON'T look at the camera and can't even sit still for more than a second. Chloe had to tag along and tried to steal the show, but it was all about Tate and he loved it. My friends, I think we have turned a corner! This is the Tate I know and love more than words. I always compare him to Chloe because they are twins, but I forget sometimes that boys and girls are SO different! Chloe sits around and talks to herself and her stuff animals and Tate is like the Tasmanian Devil.

These are for daddy! We are glad you are feeling better, love you!

I was able to photograph these hilarious and adorable girls last year and I am SO glad they came back. They definately kept me entertained, they have so much personality. That is the great thing about photographing kids multiple times, they are comfortable with me and I love that.
Savannah is a true tom boy, love that and she is such a natural poser.
Olivia has such a contagious laugh and an awesome tap dancer;)

Okay, I know this is overkill, but I couldn't narrow it down any more. Also, I wanted to throw in some out-takes and some of our real personalities as well.
Funny thing though, of course the day before the shoot Chloe was jumping off the couch and got a black eye and then Tate (day of the shoot), was playing with the cord from the blinds, wrapped it around his neck (I was sitting 5 feet away laying out their outfits) and Tate yells "Look Dad!" and then fall off the end table he was standing on! I was FREAKING out, he got a huge burn around his neck from the string, I really hope he learned his lesson because now I am so afraid he is going to something like that again without us in the same room to save him. I don't know why I just typed all of that.
Awkward....
Anyways, Anthony really wanted photos up the canyon this year because we have done urban the last 3 times. I am so glad we did. I love AF canyon, we drive up there often, it is special to us. Thanks again Jess for capturing us. Love you!

Family pictures, check. Bribery for children, check. Ornery husband during photos, check. Exhasted mom, check.
Seriously, every time we get our family photos taken I totally have empathy for my clients. It is SO much work to get everyone to the session, happy, clothing, food, wipes, bribes, great lighting, bla bla bla. Anyways, it was an exciting shoot to say the least, Anthony made crazy faces in almost all the photos and then there was me being a nerd and of course the kids screaming and crying. The funny thing is I narrowed it down to about 100 photos, how the crap Jess did you get that many good ones with all the craziness? Thanks Jess & Stephanie, sorry I get so crazy and show off sometimes, it's awkward being on the other side of the lens.
