Canyon Rim Academy

I had the opportunity to take some photographs of this wonderful class at Canyon Rim Academy. It was my idea of fun! The kids were so excited to get their pictures taken, always love a willing subject. When I came into the room they had questions prepared for me, it was funny and it made me feel like such an adult... Studio/Urban sessions

She was such a natural and absolutely georgeous...






He was sooo expressive and adorable!




These two sessions I had back to back. We tried out urban a little as well since I can walk right outside of my studio to an urban setting. I will be offering Studio/urban sessions for my clients, they will last about 1.5 hours and be lots of fun!

This is my favorite image from today's shoot. We got up the canyon and it started to snow, but these guys were totally up for it. Aren't they so cute! I mean tough...

Sweet baby

Isn't she a doll? She started out screaming for the first few minutes and then she was a complete Angel! She could have done this all day, I think she really liked all of the attention and the big huge softbox... Just another sample of my studio work and a reminder to book you holiday sessions now. October is filling up. If you book before Oct. 1st you will still get your portraits on CD with copyright release.

Crazy Pink chair

Okay so my wonderful mother found this chair at a thrift store and bought it for me! I was so excited to take Chloe out and get a few pictures. There was little light left so I only got about 10 images, but here are 3 that I liked. I know that her hat is a little crazy, but that is how we do it in the Monson family! My husband just rolled his eyes when he saw the chair, I think he is sick of me bringing home random furniture that is on it's last leg. Oh well...

Braxton

This is Braxton, he has soooo much personality. I have done sessions with him a few times, it is crazy how fast they grow up. He seem like a teenager already. He wasn't diggin' all the picture taking but we still got some fun shots. Isn't he a heartbreaker?

How cool is this??

I just ordered these wall display templates and I am SO excited about them. It takes all the guessing out of how to set up your prints. There are around 20 different options too. Here is an example of a display above a bed. This makes it really fun to put all your photos together without the headache, and everyone knows I can do without any more headaches!

First Studio Pictures!

I was so excited to try out my new studio so I borrowed a photographers daughter, who by the way is the cutest, and we had a little impromtu photo session. This is one of my fabric backdrops, I have a few different ones and my fabulous new couch which isn't in the photo. Anyways, just too excited to wait, I had to share a few. I would love to know what you think.

Things are a changin...

Change is good, right? Well, just wanted to let all of you know that my pricing will be changing with the arrival of my new studio. I will no longer give pictures on CD, well there will be an option to buy them on CD, but my main focus is delivering high quality portraits to my clients. I have found that by giving pictures on CD people have no idea where to start to print or organize their pictures, so a lot of the time they just stay on CD. I really would like to give my clients beautiful artwork for their homes. I will be offering gallery wrap canvases, wall displays to take all the guessing out of which ones to print, and custom books for your family. So, my prices will change the 1st of Oct. If you would like your photos on CD you must book your appt. by Sept. 31st. Photoshoots can be booked up to Dec. 1st for my old prices, but act fast because Christmas is coming and I am not doing any family photo shoots for Christmas after Dec. 1st!

Greece & Rome it is!!!

Thanks for your voting! We are officially going to Greece and Rome in May, not March so hopefully the weather will be a little warmer. I am soooo excited. I have been wanting to go to Europe since I was 12 years old. The history and the architechture is absolutely amazing and not to mention the photo ops there! Now I really have something to look forward to.

More of Miss "A"

I was proofing tonight and had to post a few more of her. I love doing urban sessions, the colors and textures of the backdrops make photoshop a little more fun. I am getting my studio ready this week, painting and such and spending way too much money. I swear one day I will actually make a profit! I just love buying stuff... it's in my blood. I will be painting tomorrow and the rest of my equiptment should be here any day! I am planning on having an opening party, so stay tuned, anyone and everyone is invited and there will be door prizes and photoshooting (is that a word?) going on, so bring your kids and see what it's all about!
