Love these templates!

I just bought these templates from Image Garden and I love them. I also bought some calendar templates that I have been wanting forever and will share those later.

ANTM anyone?

So, I have to admit that I am totally obsessed with America's Next Top Model (even though Tyra makes me feel embarassed for her when she speaks). So, today when I showed up to photograph this wedding Jeana, my assistant, pointed out that the bride totally looked like the winner of this last season. So then I kept calling her Whitney (the winner), so funny. Good times even with all the rain and cold.

Don't they look a ton alike? Gorgeous eyes! I will post more I promise, I got a ton of really romantic/moody pictures of this couple.

for Whitney & Russell

No misquitos this time~ These two were up for whatever I had in mind, like laying in a field of dandelions or sitting up in an old window and standing in the middle of the street. I always say, just trust me and for some reason they do. I am really having one of those days where I could just watch movies all day and not answer the phone, you know when you feel sick and just don't really feel up to anything. That is my boring day, at least I had these pictures to play with. I think the best thing about being a photographer is when I get home and get to download the pictures, that is my favorite part. I usually stress about the session and light and all that stuff but then I get home and just be in my element. My head hurts so bad so I must go, here are some fun ones, thanks Whitney and Russell, I feel so lucky to be your photographer!

Out of town

I will be out of town this weekend. All emails and calls will be returned when I get back on Monday.

This session was so great and I loved every minute of it. I have photographed these three girls 3 times now and every time I love seeing them grow. I have a canvas of the oldest one in my studio (which is under construction and I am so excited to share the outcome!). Enjoy the sneak peek!

Blog Contest

Family photo contest:

Okay, so I have been trying to think of something fun for my next contest and today it just hit me. I love photographing families that have a lot of personality and are open to unique settings and ideas. So, this gave me the idea to have a contest to win a free family sitting with Simplicity Photography!

The Rules: Come up with a unique idea for a family session (location, posing, clothing).
{Example}: Family photo in front of a hot dog stand, kids wearing red with polka dots and ruffled skirts, dad wearing red bow tie and mom (wearing red high heals of course) walking dog with red studded collar.

Of course, if you win we will be using your idea in your family portrait! Email me your fabulous idea by May 31st to simplicityphotography@yahoo.com
Be specific and include as much detail as you want. I want to hear all your creativity from start to finish!

Fun family!

I loved this family, they were so fun. I usually don't shoot large families because it's not really my thing, but I couldn't say no to this family because I knew they would be fun and just be themselves. The best part is they all really love each other and it shows.

Cost: $375
What you will get: 10 of your best images on CD with copyright release and an 10x20 Custom Storyboard (you will get your print by Father's Day!).

These two were SO natural in front of the camera. Poor Russell got eaten alive by misquitos, sorry! We had some fun new spots to photograph which I always love. I want to post more, but I am so tired and I think photoshop needs a break from me!

something different...

This is different for me, water and full sun. I usually don't get to shoot in the water and I always wish I lived on the beach, so I got to have a not so glamorous day on the water (misquitos, mushy sand, heavy couches, and a full bladder!). Thanks Jess for all your help, you are the best! I love the last photos we got from this session, the sun was setting and perfect for the mood I was looking for. Here is a little preview for you guys!
