Asa just hung out and did whatever we told him to, well of course because he can't crawl yet. I love this age, they can sit up but can't get away!

Oh ya, I forgot to mention the best part of the session! So, little Gwen does NOT like her parents to be affectionate with eachother, especially holding hands. As soon as I tried to get a few photos of mom and dad she cried and cried, kinda funny kinda sad! Good thing Jeana was there to whisk her away and play! They said they will practice holding hands more for the next session!

Mentoring update

My July spots are full for mentoring and almost full for August.

beautiful family

I photographed this family last year and it was so fun to see them again. Seriously the are the best behaved children I have ever seen! Anthony came and helped me (my hubby) and since I have 2 cameras now he was having a hay day. He brought a whole different energy to the shoot and the girls responded to him well. 3 or 4 of these shots were taken by him, my favorite is the first one with mom and dad about to kiss and Anthony had a pow wow with the girls and had them run and jump on them. I love capturing real expressions and sincere love that this family has for eachother.
Oh ya and I met Trish at the Salt Lake Mother of twins club, aren't her twins adorable?!!

FYI, I used Indie's actions on these photos,,,, love them! I don't usually use actions with urban or studio, but with park like settings or country I use her actions, they seriously are amazing. I love how you can easily tweak them.

photo booth

Okay, so I feel a little wierd posting photos I didn't take! Anyways, these were taken by my wonderful assistant Jeana at Rachel and Josh's wedding last week. So, I really wanted to do some photo booth pictures at a wedding and it was so fun! I was kind of nervous because I hadn't done it before and also because it was more stress, but it worked out perfectly! The guests loved it and had a ton of fun. We also got the control the light a little. All you photographers that shoot indoors at wedding receptions understand! My goal was to let everyone have a little fun and enjoy the party! Thanks Jeana!

I know I know, only one picture?? I have to tell you that making these photos huge on the blog is a lot of work!! I will post more because I want to show the photo booth we did at their reception. Her guests loved it and thanks Jeana for helping out!

Lucky, my favorite little model

Not only do I love this little girls mom like a sister, I LOVE this little girl Lucky. She has so much personality and spunk. I am loving her red hair, I always wanted red hair, maybe I will just have to get out the hair dye. Kelly, I have much more to show you and cute ones of Jane too!

Yet another amazing name... So, I have a ton more to post of this little girl and her adorable little brother Phoenix so I will do that soon. Plus we got a few with their amazingly beautiful mom also, so stay tuned. I really need to go and clean the disaster that is known as my living room right now so here is just a little sneak peek!

Isn't that the coolest name!
So, this was one of our models for the mentoring session. Every photographers dream come true, she loved getting her picture taken and she was so natural in front of the camera, no fake smiles, yeah!
She loved the pettiskirt and I am pretty sure she wanted to take it home with her.

The mentoring session went great, I have to say that I was pretty nervous before but it was great fun. I couldn't have had more fun with Bobbi, thanks Bobbi!

Just a little something...

My new favorite...

There is something about this image that I absolutely love. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I love it. She is holding an old camera that I got at the Nook and Cranny the other day.

This little Ella reminded me so much of Chloe, spunky and of course almost 2 so I was chasing her around during the whole session.

Utah Lake

Last night we had another photo get together and it was so much fun, so many people came! It was a ton of fun to get to know you all better and talk photography. Here are some of the models that came and graced us with their presence,,, seriously amazingly beautiful. I shot a ton of pictures and then realized that I didn't have my memory card in, one mistake I will only make once!! I hope...

I am officially addicted. Anyways, here are some more of Rachel. I could have posted like 50 but I have tons that I really should be doing, like laundry, phone calls, mop the kitchen floor (oh I hate mopping!), and taking care of my bumpkins. So, here you go Rachel.

Seriously? Isn't she so gorgeous? So, I am loving this photo, one because the bride and the location... two because I tried something a little different with my flash... three because the colors and light are what I have been trying to acheive lately. So all in all it was a success! I will post more tomorrow. Thanks Rachel for being so easy to photograph!

I do want a really glam family picture..like old hollywood. me In a fitted dress or high waisted pencil skirt maybe laying a "faint" chair my man standing by my head in a very W magazine styled outfit..un-buttoned dress shirt loose tie maybe a 5 o clock shadow on his face. my kids on the ground in a vintage styled clothes ...I would love to find little fish nets for kaitlyn. maybe suspenders for lil bill.
