Michael & Caitlyn [NC Wedding]

So, this wedding was so beautiful, as was the bride and groom. I don't think I have ever been to a more entertaining wedding. The reception had the best entertainment, mostly due to the bride and grooms amazing friends. Such craziness. Even though I had little sleep and braved the hurricane (which wasn't even around when I arrived), I had a great time being able to capture their big day. I didn't have as much time with the bride and groom as hoped, but we got some great candids and photos that are full of true emotion and life.

Congrats you two! I can't wait to design your album!

oh my goodness, check out his cuteness. I am so dying over this session, 4 kids, all beautiful, all amazing outfits. I can't wait to post more. off to bed, tomorrow is the big day! Moving!!! I am a pro and moving, I have done it 15 times or so, just throw all your crap in boxes and be on your way. it's late and I am getting nutty.

I couldn't resist posting some pictures of Jane. We had a little impromtu photo shoot and she was so good! Done in 15 minutes. Love this age! I'm Moving!!

Okay so I am moving next week! So excited, but I am so crazy busy right now so if all of my clients and anyone who emails me understands it will take me longer to get back to you that would be great! I am also leaving to photograph an amazing wedding in North Carolina this weekend, can't wait! So, basically I have 2 full days to pack my house up and move, I am hoping for a miracle. I am moving to Traverse Mountain, so all of you that live there I am expecting you to throw me a party...

These are for Cara, she has boy girl twins too and her hands full! I am always a little nervous for this age in the studio, okay a lot nervous!! but these twins did so great, they just sat there and stared at me, I couldn't ask for anything more!

I love love love this one, she looks like a perfect little doll.

Chloe,,, this little girl just kills me..

seriously? I love this look. She does it all the time. We went camping.. I know what you are thinking, why would you take 2 year old twins camping. We were up for most of the night. Chloe decided to talk to Elmo and her puppy dog friend in the middle of the night for 2 hours and Tate thought it would be a good idea to run around the tent at 2am and jump on us, over and over again. It was a rough night but my sister Nikki got this amazing shot of Chloe. I am thinking canvas, but then again I want to print everything on canvas and soon enough I will have to live in a mansion to fit all my canvases. Coco, you are too cute for words.

This little guy I photographed while he was in his mom's tummy! I was so excited to meet him. He is 1 now and such a cutie. Only one for now, off to pack for camping and a night away from the kiddos in Park City! so excited, no photoshoots for 5 whole days!

Mentoring Sessions

My mentoring sessions are all booked for 2008, and I will be booking for 2009 for March and April now. If you just want to learn Studio and photoshop we can schedule as early as January or February 2009. I will only be offering one day sessions from now on, but they will be 10 hours long instead of 8 hours.

Price: 1,000 (1 full day, 10 hours)
Models with be provided and lunch and dinner will be covered.

How it will look: 1 full day of answering all your burning questions... marketing, photoshop, studio and outdoor photo-shoots (models provided). No holding back. This can really jump start your business and help you to head in a direction of making better decisions (learn from my mistakes!) financially, personally, and technically.

Each mentoring session will be different since everyone is at different skill levels, that is why I think this is the best way to learn.

The rules: Weekdays only, I treasure my weekends with my family.
You must live at least 3 HOURS from Salt Lake City area to participate.

August is almost over,,, whew! (large post ahead...)

I cannot believe I have almost made it through August, this has been the busiest month of my life! Crazy, fun, and tiring all at the same time. Here is what I have been up to the past week or so, all of these pictures have been from mentoring sessions, I wanted to post some pictures for the models to see:)

I about died when these two girls showed up, they were so sweet and so beautiful!! I felt like such a lucky photographer!

Introducing... Fancy Mats...$35

I am so excited to introduce these, I have been thinking about making these forever and finally sat down and completed them. I personally think that having a mat just seals my framing experience, but not all frames have mats... here is the answer. Basically I have created 5 different unique mats that are totally customizable in photoshop to use for your clients prints. Each mat is sized to 20x24, 16x20, 11x14, 8x10, and 5x7. I love the clean, simple look to them.
I just imagine these mounted in IKEA Black frames, voila!

Congrats!

Just wanted to post a quick picture from Jason and Annie's wedding last week. The shoot was at noon, so a challenge for good light, but my hubby came along and helped out a bit,,, a bit I remind you..:)

Finally... 2 year old pictures...

I finally decided to take my crazy ones out to get some pictures. They were all over the place as I expected and when your husband is with you and wanting to be done in 10 minutes it turns out to be a fun situation:) I did get a few that I like, but I really wanted to get some pictures of them at this age because I know I will regret it if I don't. They are definately at their terrible two's already but somehow I still think they are the cutest things ever.

Not tack sharp, but I still love it because they are both somewhat behaving:)

I am taking 5 days off to enjoy some time with my best friend who is flying in from Georgia, I am thinking movies, shopping, thrift stores, and lots of food! Yeah, party time. Hopefully my husband will be up for staying home with the kids:)
