ANNOUNCEMENT....

Drumroll please......
Alright everyone I am excited to announce that I will be opening a studio in the month of Sept! I am excited & nervous about this decision. I have worked outdoors for so long, but when the winter months roll around this will be a great place. I will have some really fun fabric backdrops and an amazing props. So, if you are looking for not so ordinary Studio photographs, please let me know. It will be located downtown Salt Lake City. I am looking for a few models to get the word out, age 5-10 years old girl or boy. I will wave the session fee (time and talent of the photographer only). Babylegs

So, this was from a photoshoot for Babylegs (the cutest leggings ever!), with my good friend Kelly and her little cutie Lucky. Lucky was so halarious, she has been watching America's Next Top Model and was pullin' out all the stops, some of her poses were so funny. Then she would stand back by the camera and give her mom direction. Love this little red head!

Tagged

Okay, so I have been Tagged by Raquel Allen Photography. I have to write 8 interesting things about myself. This will be hard because I can only think of one...

Okay so here goes,

1. I used to Disco Skate as much as possible in High School and I would bride my friends to come with me.
2. I used to be in a "Band" with my friend Carrie, Our name was.... are you ready to laugh... SOUL CRISIS. Man, we thought we were so good and we even recorded ourselves on tape. How embarrassing. Carrie went on to be in a real band...
3. I love to travel, anywhere, anytime.
4. I love spontaneous people, people that aren't afraid to make a fool of themselves. I haven't met very many of those and it's funny because I only really act that way when I am around people that act this way too. Wierd, I know.
5. I have boy/girl twins and so does my brother.
6. I eat ice cream every day. We consider our home in a state of emergency if there isn't ice cream in our house.
7. Today is my 7th year Anniversary to my wonderful husband Anthony who supports all my craziness.
8. I have $2000 worth of plane tickets to use and I can't decide where to go, did anyone go somewhere cool that they would like to share? I need somewhere fun and exciting, but relaxing at the same time.

Here is another example of an urban shoot. I love this little girl, I have taken her photos a couple times and she is such a firecracker. I think we wore her out by the end of the session though! Couldn't leave Tate out...

Here is one of him where you can see the backdrop more. I am really excited to open up a studio. So many things to play with a buy! I had a ton of him making crazy faces, this was the only decent one without his mouth wide open, he is such a character...

Miss Chloe

I was practicing today with a fabric panel and although you can't really see the backdrop I still adore this one of Chloe. I finally got one of her precious little looks.

Sneak Peek of my new Christmas Templates...

I finally started working on my new Christmas Templates today. They will be complete by the end of August for purchase or for Clients to use for their Christmas cards. I will also make a more modern/funky set as well. Stay tuned..

Little Miss Addie

Isn't she the sweetest thing? I swear she is the happiest baby I have ever seen. She was a photographers dream. First of all she looked at the camera (amazing for any one year old), second of all she was so excited with all the attention she was getting, and third well... she is just so adorable. I really enjoyed this shoot and her parents were so fun and laid back, love that...This is why I love what I do.

New lens!!!

Okay, so I am so excited. I finally bit the bullet and bought the Nikon 70-200 2.8. I love it! I took these downtown about 3 minutes after I purchased it. I am working on my urban post processing, not to the point where I want to be, always a work in progress! My little Tate- I finally got a few of him. My husband hates this hat, he thinks he looks Rasta hippie, oh well I like it:)

Chloe the Diva

I just had to post this face, isn't she halarious? This little girl just melts my heart, I love having a boy and a girl to see there complete differences. Tate is so happy and crazy all the time and Chloe is so soft and sweet, with a little hint of diva in her. Love my cuties.

Textures

I am trying out textures with photographs, just having a little fun amidst all my proofing I have to get done. I just cannot focus today!

My week at the beach...

Of course the first thing I do when I get home is look at my pictures!! (That is when you know you are obsessed).... Anyways, I was kind of dissapointed with my array of pics because I just had all these great ideas in my head of what I wanted to do, but with babies in the sand crawling into the water every 2 seconds and 2 much needed naps a day, there wasn't much time to be creative. I am sure some of you can relate??? Well, my uncle took a great picture of my fam and I love it except I look like I have a mullet, so this one will have to do!!! I was so sad. Anyways, just a few to share. Thanks for looking!!

I finally looked had a little bit of time to look through my studio images from the Brianna Graham workshop. I love the studio images, I think more than the urban for some reason. I was always the type that never thought I would do studio lighting because when I think of studio lighting I think Kiddie Candids, but I love Brianna approach to Studio lighting. Sneak Peek..
