This is my friend from high school, well even though I still feel like we are in high school, it's been a while since we have seen eachother. It was so fun for her to come down to my studio and get some shots of her, thanks Katie for putting up with my whole fam being there! oh man, note to self, leave them at home next time...

Groomals

I have found a great couple for the groomals session, thank you for everyone that took the time to email me!

avoiding the inevitable...

I am 100% avoiding cleaning my house. My husband took Tate camping this week (don't ask me why, I was happy to bow out of that one!). Chloe and I are just chillin' and I should be cleaning my disaster of a house right now... but I wanted to post a few of this newborn session. This family lives in my neigborhood and I loved hanging out with them this morning. Could they be more beautiful? Anyways, here you go! How zealous am I (there's a word I don't use every day) posting the day of. Photography is definately a good way to avoid all the other duties in life, I guess that is why I love my job so much... okay enough talking, here are the photos.

Update: Chloe woke up from her nap, and I actually did clean the house and she said, "mom you cleaned my house, thank you!". Gratitude at 2 years old, wow she must be a rare breed, but wait 2 min later she was pouring yogurt all over the kitchen counter.

Oh, p.s. I love my D700! this is my first session using it and all my focusing problems have left the building...

This couple was easy as pie, we were done in 25 min. They were so natural in front of the camera and mom was glowing. I love maternity sessions, especially with the dad to be. I am getting baby hungry already, what is wrong with me!!?? I have a newborn session tomorrow too so that will just make things worse.

Groomals anyone?

Okay, so I would like to find a fun artistic couple for some new lighting/ideas that I have been coming up with lately. If you are married, getting married, etc, and want some fun/artistic photos of you and your lover (yes you can still be lovers if you are married), email me.

Oh ya, WPPI was SO fun, the group of girls I went with made it so worth it. We were pooped every night around 8pm and had just too much fun hanging out and chatting about stuff that cannot be repeated!! jk. It was just fun and I spent way too much, ate way too much, and slept way too little. Lots of changes coming at my studio so I better get on it!

It's Love Day

I thought it was a perfect day to post these wedding photos. These two got lucky with awesome 45 degree weather! I love when a couple isn't rushed after the ceremony and we can go to a few locations afterward. Found some new spots downtown to play around. Thanks Jeana & Jessica for your help!

HAPPY VALENTINES!

5 sessions...

So, the mini sessions were such a success. Last time was way chaotic, so I think I was expecting the worst, but everything went really smoothly, minus the black roll of paper falling off the wall and I had to tack it on the wall... funny, thanks to Jeana we came up with a plan to just make it work and laugh at it. All of the kids that came today we SO fun, seriously they had lots of fun energy and it really made my job easy. Plus Jeana is the best and I couldn't have done it without her..

So, I just have one because I am exhausted.

I think this photo is one of my favorite ever. I love how he looks so bored and over it. That is what I love about kids, no faking here...


I will post more soon! and I have a wedding post too! Where can I find some time, ahhh!

Oh ya, funny. I no longer have an office in my house. Our kids had to be separated. They figured out how to unzip each-others pajamas from the back, strip down naked and just imagine the rest. They weren't falling asleep until 11:30 at night just partying in their room, talk about nightmare!! It has been two nights of bliss now that they have their own rooms. So now I am moving everything up to my studio and attempting to separate my home from work, I hope it helps!!

Miss Hazel

I had to include her name because I love it! It fits her perfectly. So, I had a mentoring session yesterday with a really fun photographer named Amy and Miss Hazel was all over the place but for a 2 year old she did extremely well... Just a few for now, I have more to share from the urban session but I seriously need to get off my computer before my eyes fall out of my head.

I am loving my new backdrop and my new peacock hat, scrumptious!

SIMPLY WALLS- $70

I have been so excited about these and they are now all done to show all of you!
I have had the idea to create some fun/funky/modern wall displays with wallpaper for a while and I love how they turned out.

There are 10- fully layered wall galleries with sizing info on each of them.
Each template is sized as 5x7's so that you can print them and bind them through WHCC to show your clients during ordering sessions. I would also recommend using Finao Elements 5x7 Self Mount albums to show them off as well.

You can use the clipping masks to quickly add in your clients photos before an ordering session or even in their online gallery to help your clients through the tough ordering process. Most people are visual learners, this is a great was to teach your clients how to hang their art that you have created for them.
